How do I find out information about a coroners inquest?
Coroners inquest records are closed for 75 years after the event and may often have been destroyed. Those which are over 75 years old and have survived are usually to be found in the relevant County Record Office. A good and more accessible source of information about coroner’s inquests are local newspapers, which often have accounts of the proceedings.
