Hi geo…I have had my associates get in touch with our corporate office and complain of the same instances where our managers are slandering them, and not giving a reference…I work in personnel, and here are some tips that can be of benefit to you….I would start right now and write or call your formal manager and inform them that you are in the process of seeking employment…ask them if they can give you a reference now…if not, ask them if they do so in writing…if not, you have the right to challenge their decision with counsel at your local Unemployment Security Office and your city’s Department of Labor…This helps also…have someone you know call your last employment and ask for a reference, letting them know you have applied…If they give any kind of reference that states your employee file: tardiness, absenteeism, behavior, and attitude can lead them into serious trouble…They CAN NOT give personal opinions…It’s against the labor laws…If you find they are doing t
