Many adult education and community recreation departments offer beginning and advanced metalsmithing classes. Typing “metalsmithing” and your city in a search engine will often get good results. Additionally, many bead and rock/gem shops teach specific metalsmithing skills such as cold connections, beginning soldering, etc.
