How do I find cafés, fast food restaurants, etc. in my neighbourhood?
Nokia Maps is populated with 30 million points of interest (POI), including selected brands and categories. Search for your nearest café or a restaurant by starting the application and selecting your current position (for example, taking your GPS position if available), then go to Options > Use this place > Search nearby > Select category. In the default settings, the search for POI is performed online, on the server. Therefore, data transfer costs may arise. You can avoid downloading data and costs related to data transfer by turning off the network connections in the network settings (go to Options > Settings > Network > Network Usage > Never). Note that in this case the search is performed on the POI locally available in your mobile device. To get better search results, we recommend you to allow an online connection, which performs the POI search on the server.
