HOW DO I FIND AND BORROW ConnectNY MATERIAL?

0

There are two ways: 1) via CYRIL, and 2) directly through the ConnectNY union catalog. VIA CYRIL: • Conduct whatever kind of search you want in CYRIL (keyword, title, author, subject, etc.). • Once the results appear, click on the ConnectNY icon (at the top center or upper left on the results screen). The system then will run the same search in the ConnectNY union catalog, usually finding many times the number of books than the CYRIL-only search yielded. o If your CYRIL search happens to result in a single record, clicking on the ConnectNY icon will find only that exact title in the union catalog (the search will default to a local record number search). Just click on the down arrow next to “Local Record #” to change the type of search to whatever you want, then rekey/repaste your search term, then click on “Search.” The system then will run the search in the ConnectNY union catalog. • When you find and click on a title you want from a list of titles, the individual record will appear
