If you’ve decided, perhaps wisely, that you just need a cherry picker to do one or two odd jobs but that you won’t need it again for a long time then it may be wise to simply hire one rather than jumping into the huge financial decision of buying one outright. Perhaps you just want to change some lights or do some renovation work which will be a one off and thus you need a cherry picker but not forever; renting is a very sensible option for this and there are a plethora of companies out there who should be able to help you out. Go to the company whom you would buy one off normally and see if they would be willing to rent one instead; perhaps you have already bought several cherry pickers but you now just need to rent one to cover the absence of another which is being maintained; ask around and see if the companies you are used to dealing with can do you a special deal. Alternatively, talk to your friends in business who may well already rent cherry pickers.
