How do I file copies of my employee W‑2 wage and tax statements if I filed Form WT‑7 electronically using My Tax Account?

The Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR) requires employers with more than 50 wage or information statements to file them electronically. Persons required to file federal wage statements and information returns electronically with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) must file comparable forms in the same manner with DOR. The department no longer accepts W‑2s or information statements on magnetic media. Information on how to electronically file W‑2s and information statements is available at www.revenue.wi.gov/eserv/w-2.html or may be accessed from links that appear under line 1 of Form WT‑7 on My Tax Account. If you have less the 50 employees and choose to submit paper Form W‑2s and information statements to the department, attach a cover letter with the paper Form W‑2s and information statements indicating the Form WT‑7 was filed electronically.
