Prior to June 26, 2006, the city contracted with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department for police services, therefore, claims against the police department occuring before June 26, 2006, are to be filed with the Sacramento County Office of Risk Managment. You may call (916) 876-5251 to have a form mailed to you. Instructions for completion and filing are on the form. For police-related incidents occuring after June 26, 2006, claims are to be filed with the city and are to be submitted on an Official Citrus Heights claim form. Claim forms are available on-line, as well as at City Hall, or through the City Clerk’s Office. Claims must be filed with the city within six months from the date of the incident. The claim form should be completed with the most detailed and specific information available. Incomplete claim forms will be returned to the claimant as insufficient.
