How do I feed live food, frozen bloodworms and axolotl pellets to my Water Dragon (axolotl)?
When feeding Rosy Minnows you need to net the Rosy Minnow then grab it by its back fan using your thumb and forefinger (if you do not want grab the Rosy Minnow by hand you can also use a tweezers) present the Rosy Minnow in front of your Water Dragon (axolotl’s) mouth. Only feed one Rosy Minnow per day and up to three times per week. Remove any uneaten food after 24 hours so that your axolotl will not eat food that is contaminated with bacteria. You can remove the uneaten food with a net or siphon it out by using a 1/4 inch tubing about 4 ft long that you can buy at Homedepot or any other home center. When feeding live worms you must make sure that the worms are bite-size. You will need to either buy small worms or chop up large earthworms. Feed as many worms as your Water Dragon (axolotl) will eat and feed your Water Dragon (axolotl) three times per week.
