How do i feed baby guinea pigs?
Guinea pigs should generally have free access to pellets and hay. If you give them too little pellets, they’ll just eat more hay (you may notice that the main ingredient in the food is the hay). So fill up a feeder and let them have at it. Until they are full grown, alfalfa hay and based feed is good (they need the calcium) but once they are grown, switch to timothy hay, as the calcium can then cause nasty health problems. For the veggies, be careful what you give. As long as it is safe for a guinea pig to eat at all, they should be fine with it. Take a look at the web site below; among many other things, it has a list of what foods piggies can eat along with information that can help you determine if it is good or not for your specific piggy. A few things to watch out for are bananas, which can cause constipation, and tomatoes, which can cause diarrhea. Both are wonderful to give guinea pigs, just because not to give a whole banana or a full tomato at a time. I would HIGHLY recommend
