How do i explain an open casket to my 6 year old child?
Yikes! That’s a delicate one…and, of course, I don’t know what the child has already been told about burial and death in general…but if you’ve already explained that people have to be buried in a casket when they die, you could go on to say that sometimes the casket is open, where you can see the person, and sometimes it has to be closed, where you can’t see them.
