How Do I Erase A CD-RW On My Media Player?

0

No software is necessary to erase a CD-RW other than your computer and its operating system. Even though some CD burning software gives you the option to erase the disc, you can do so just as quickly with your file explorer on your computer. Make sure you verify the data on the disc before erasing it because you won’t be able to retrieve it again. Check the engraving on the top of the disc to make sure it says “CD-RW,” as only a rewritable disc can be erased. Insert the CD-RW into the CD drive of your computer. Open your file explorer and navigate to the letter containing your CD drive. This is usually the “D” drive on most computers. Right click the disk letter and select “Erase disc” or similar command. Another window will appear on your screen prompting you to confirm the erase command. Click “OK” or “Next” and wait until the progress bar fills completely and the computer alerts you that the erase process has finished. Insert the CD-RW into the CD drive of your computer. Open the CD
