No software is necessary to erase a CD-RW other than your computer and its operating system. Even though some CD burning software gives you the option to erase the disc, you can do so just as quickly with your file explorer on your computer. Make sure you verify the data on the disc before erasing it because you won’t be able to retrieve it again. Check the engraving on the top of the disc to make sure it says “CD-RW,” as only a rewritable disc can be erased. Insert the CD-RW into the CD drive of your computer.
