You will be given a data manager privilege to enter data to the system. Select Create a New Animal under Case Management Options, then create a new animal ID to register your mouse tissues data. You are to create an animal ID in order to register your specimen. If you do not have any specific mouse, use any unused barcode number to create unknown animal ID to register your mouse tissues. Once you create an animal ID, you will be given the Animal information screen to enter mouse tissues data related to the animal that you created. Some fields in this screen are required (* indicates the required fields). You can duplicate a specimen record if you need to register multiple specimens for a single animal (or a case). Be careful to validate an automatically generated specimen identifier if you duplicate a specimen record under the same animal.
