How do I enter a symbol using Across Lite?

0

There are puzzles where special characters may need to be used. In the new edition of Across Lite, version 2.0, you can enter special characters (@, #, $, %, &, +, ?) if required. An alternate way to do this in Across Lite 2.0 is through the Edit menu; select Insert and then Multiple Letters. This will present a menu of symbols to choose from. For Mac users, the symbols option is obtained by using Shift+Esc on your keyboard or from the Edit->Insert menu in Across Lite. Across Lite 1.2 only accepts the 26 letters of the alphabet. If you need to enter a star (*) or an ampersand (&) in the box, just enter an “s” (for “star”) or an “a” (for “ampersand”). When you use Across Lite 1.2 to check your puzzle for incorrect entries, the system won’t mark it as a wrong answer.
