How do I enroll in REL 405, Directed Study in Religion with Dr. Minor?
Departmental requirements state that in order to enroll in REL 405, Directed Study in Religion, a student must have completed at least one other course in Religious Studies at the University of Kansas and must obtain permission from the instructor. Students determine which professor to guide their Directed Study on the basis of the topic they are interested in studying. They then discuss enrollment with the instructor who is most familiar with their proposed topic. No students will be enrolled in REL 405 with Dr. Minor after the first week of classes. REL 405 with Dr. Minor requires regular (usually weekly) sessions with the instructor in which the student comes to initiate discussion of the readings as well as the writing of a relevant research paper, which is due no later than the last day of classes in the semester enrolled in REL 405.
