Open the registry key “HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer” and add the REG_SZ variable “Logging” if it doesn’t exist. Set the value to “voicewarmup” – this immediately enables verbose MSI logging (no need to reboot or logoff). Now look in the user’s %TEMP% folder for the most recent “MSIxxxxx.LOG” file. This file contains the log from the latest install.
