How Do I Enable SSL on VersaMail?
VersaMail is Palm’s full-feature email program available to owners of the Palm Treo 650 or 700p Smartphone, as well as the Palm T|X handheld and Palm LifeDrive mobile manager. While email functionality is not hard to establish on these devices, enabling secure socket layers (SSL) can be tricky because this is an advanced setting within the account configuration option. If you are using Palm’s VersaMail to access corporate email, verify the SSL ports with your IT department or network administrator prior to enabling SSL. Open VersaMail on your Palm device. Using the device’s stylus, tap the “Menu” button. A drop-down menu appears. Tap “Accounts/Account Setup”. Tap your email account. If this is your first time establishing an email account, then view the Treo 700p Handbook link in the Resources section for detailed information on how to setup email accounts in VersaMail. Tap “Edit” under the options for you email account. Tap “Next” two times and bypass the account username and password
