You need to have version 2.0.5 or later and you need to install the free Lame MP3 encoding library. Please go to http://lame.buanzo.com.ar/ and manually click on WINDOWS users: For Audacity on Windows: Lame_v3.98.3_for_Audacity_on_Windows.exe MAC users: For Audacity 1.3.3 or later on Mac OS X (Intel or PPC), or Audacity 1.2.5 on Mac OS X (Intel): Lame_Library_v3.98.2_for_Audacity_on_OSX.dmg Please leave the default install location which should be “c:\Program Files (x86)\LAME for Audacity” or “c:\Program Files\LAME for Audacity” on Windows and “/usr/local/lib/audacity” on MacOSX.
