How do I enable audio recording while shooting still images?

0

To record sound while shooting still images, first press the Shooting mode button (red camera icon) and then turn the mode dial to any shooting mode except [GUIDE] or [MOVIE]. Press the [MENU] button. Use the arrow pad to select PICTURE + SOUND, and then press the [OK] button. On the next screen, use the Up or Down arrow to select ON, and then press [OK] again. Press the [MENU] button twice to exit. Audio recording will then be enabled. A microphone icon will appear on the LCD to remind you that audio capture is active. Audio capture will remain in effect until it is turned off. When PICTURE + SOUND is ON, the camera will capture four seconds of sound beginning about .5 seconds after the shutter button is released. For best results, point the cameras microphone toward the sound source. Note: Audio recording is disabled in the AUCTION, UNDER WATER WIDE1, UNDER WATER WIDE2, and UNDER WATER MACRO scenes.
