This is for Word 2000, but I imagine 2007 will be similar – if it isn’t I apologise for wasting your time. If you already have the data to base the chart on in a table click anywhere in the table and go to the Insert… Picture… Chart menu (screenshot 1). If you don’t already have the data go to the same menu – Insert… Picture… Chart and a mini-spreadsheet with dummy data will open attached to a chart (screenshot 2). Edit the data in the spreadsheet to show your own data and Bob’s your uncle! EDIT! To change it from the default bar chart right click on the chart and you will be able to select what type of chart you want.
