The black water tank on your travel trailer holds the sewage waste from your toilet. The additives used to control the odors from this tank also help to break down solid waste and make it easier to drain, or dump, the tank. You drain the black water tank of your travel trailer either into the RV dump hole at your camping site or at an RV dump station. As long as you have enough RV sewage hose to reach from the drain ports on the side of your travel side where your toilet is to the dump hole, you will be able to do this job quickly and easily. Locate the black water tank drain port on your travel trailer. This port will be a black PVC pipe (usually 4 inches in diameter) that terminates in a cap with a small release lever built into the side. The port will be located on the same side as your toilet, under the travel trailer and near the black water holding tank. Unscrew and remove the cap from the black water drain port.
