How do I download multipart messages with Outlook Express?

• Make sure you have downloaded all the parts of a particular message: They will all have the same Subject, but end in “[1/5]”, “[2/5]” etc. (The first part will appear as a normal message with an attachment, subsequent parts as seemingly junk text – they are in fact continuations of the attachment.) • Once you have them all, highlight them all by clicking on them with the shift button held down. • Right-click and select Combine and decode • Check that the messages are in the right order, and then click OK. Outlook Express will then reassemble the message into one file for you. • Open or save the attachment as normal.
