How Do I Downgrade From Vista To Xp On My Acer Aspire 9301Awsmi?

This is not too difficult at all- don’t worry. Firstly, Acer should have supplied a boot disc that will restore Vista for you if you should ever want to use Vista again. You don’t need to copy Vista to a disc as you can get it off the boot/’restore’ disc from Acer. Some of the new Acer machines do not include boot/restore discs. However, if you contact Acer and register your laptop with them, they will send you one. They have started doing this to prevent fraud. You will need to make a note of the various components in your computer. You will have to download drivers for these things in order for them to work after the xp installation. Your sound, graphics, webcam etc. If you start up Vista, click on the vista logo on the startbar. Where it says ‘start search’ type “device manager”. Device manager should appear in a list above under the heading ‘programs’. Click on this. Device manager should appear as a new window with a list of components on the left hand side. Hit the plus sign (+)
