You really don’t need a handstand to be able to do a cartwheel though, but I’ll answer your question any way. What you need is a clean wall (safe from any furniture or other objects you could potentially crash into) and a chair, stool, or ottoman (make sure there’s no wheels on any of these!). Stand a couple feet away from the wall, with one foot on your chair, and put your hands about half a foot away from the wall. Make sure your hands are shoulder width apart and parallel to each other. With your foot on the chair, kick off as hard as you can. Now, use the power in your legs to kick your feet up. Don’t worry about falling over, the wall with hold you up as long as you KEEP YOUR ARMS STRAIGHT. Think about driving your heels straight up. You’ll probably come up short your first few times. Keep trying. Once you end up in your handstand, lean forward and use the wall for support. You are building strength in your arms now.
