The following solid wastes are not regulated medical wastes and may be disposed of with your household waste subject to the indicated conditions: • Garbage, trash and sanitary waste generated from single or multiple residences, hotels, motels, and day-use recreation areas, except for regulated medical waste generated by the provision of professional health care services on the premises. • Used products for personal hygiene, such as diapers, facial tissues and sanitary napkins. • Material, not including sharps, containing small amounts of blood or body fluids, but containing no free flowing or unabsorbed liquid. • You may not dispose of or discard any hypodermic syringe, hypodermic needle or any instrument or device for making hypodermic injections or any other type of medical sharp before first safeguarding the disposal thereof by wrapping or securing same in a secure, opaque, puncture resistant container so as to avoid the possibility of causing injury to collection personnel.
