How do I dispose of my full biowaste containers?
Waste for Incineration on Main Campus – Biowaste boxes are picked up Wednesday morning at the biowaste shed at the HSRF loading dock. If you are outside the Medical Complex, contact us and we will pick it up on Tuesday afternoon. Email us at esf@uvm.edu for advice as needed. Colchester Research Facility – Biowaste is picked up on Wednesdays. Laboratory personnel bring their boxes to the radiation storage room near the CRF loading dock for pickup from that point. Full individual sharps containers can also be picked up by Environmental Safety Technicians. Email esf@uvm.edu to let us know you need sharps boxes picked up for disposal. Be sure to order your replacements sharps boxes online so that they can bring them at the same time. It is easier to do this in one trip.
