How do I dispose of large trash items (mattress, refrigerator, etc.)?
A large item will be picked up at no cost to you. Call Athens Services at (888)336-6100 to schedule a pick up or click here. Once an order is placed, the item will be picked up on your regular trash collection day. Items should be placed at the curb the night before pickup. If you have more than one or two items to dispose of, you can either self haul the items to the closest landfill, Southern California Transfer Company, 1908 Frank St, Santa Monica, CA 310-828-6444 or call Athens Services to arrange for a special pick up (there is a charge for this service).
