How do I dispose of large metal items such as a refrigerator, air conditioner, washer, and dryer?
These items may be brought to the Recycling Center OR they can be scheduled for a FREE pick up on the first Wednesday of every month by calling 516-6450. Metal items that contain Freon require a Freon tag ($10.00). Items with Freon include refrigerators, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, humidifiers, freezers. You can purchase Freon tags at the Public Works Facility Mon-Fri 8 AM to 4 PM and at the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall, Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 8 AM to 4 PM and Wednesdays 8 AM to 6 PM. You must call to be added to the list.
