How do I disinfect the bubble trap on my anaerobic workstation(MKIII cabinets and older)?
APPROPRIATE DISINFECTANTS FOR USE IN THE BUBBLE TRAP OF WHITLEY MARK 3 AND COMPACT ANAEROBIC WORKSTATIONS It is imperative that the choice of disinfectant for use in the bubble trap of Whitley Mark 3 and Compact anaerobic workstations is compatible with the acrylic composition of the workstation. We recommend one of the following two disinfectants which have been used in long term testing within our own laboratory and which have been shown to have no corrosive properties. 1. Aquasan Tablets (Bronopol base) One tablet to be dissolved in 5 l of sterile water and added to the bubble trap and filled to the desired level.
