How do I disable audio recording while shooting still images?

To disable audio recording for still images, first press the Shooting mode button (red camera icon) and then turn the mode dial to any mode except [GUIDE] or [MOVIE]. Press the [MENU] button. Use the arrow pad to select PICTURE + SOUND, and then press the [OK] button. On the next screen, use the Up or Down arrow to select OFF, and then press [OK] again. Press the [MENU] button twice to exit.
