How do I dial a phone number using FaktorTel?
FaktorTel works the same way as your regular telephone service. Simply pick up the receiver, listen for a dial tone and then dial the numbers. If you are dialling interstate you will need to dial the area code (e.g. 02 for Sydney). To dial internationally you dial 0011 in front of the number then the country code and then the phone number. (E.g. 001164xxxxxxxxxx for New Zealand) FREE SERVICE NUMBERS • 900 – FaktorTel Office – Please do not call this number if you are having technical issues, please call our 1300 number instead • 600 – Echo Test – This measures the time it takes for your voice to travel to us, and for us to send your voice back to you, hence the name. • 123 – Date and Time – FaktorTel’s free date and time service, this time is the same as used on all call records etc. • 1100 – Dial Before You Dig – A free referral service for information on underground pipes and cables anywhere in Australia.
