How do I determine the effective date for a family leave of absence (FMLA) eDoc?
• Answer: Often a staff member will have paid time to use at the beginning of an official Family Leave. You should complete the Family Leave HR documentation as previously done. No eDoc should be done UNTIL THERE IS A CHANGE IN THE PAYROLL STATUS. The effective date of the eDoc will be the first day on which the payroll status changes (for example, when the staff member goes off the payroll).
