How do I determine the access condition of a particular study?

To view access conditions for a dataset browse to the dataset in the catalogue (or search for it), then expand the study by clicking the blue icon next to the dataset name, then expand the “Metadata” and “Study description” item and click on “Data Access”. If the ‘Special Permissions Required’ field is present beneath the ‘Confidentiality Declaration’ field, you will need to complete the Application to Access Restricted Data Form (see here). If the ‘Special Permissions Required’ field is absent, the dataset you are interested in is a General Access study. As such, it can be distributed without authorisation from the depositor.
