How do i determine that I have Forestex hardboard siding?
• Look at the pattern on the siding and if the pattern repeats every 41 inches then it is Forestex. Ask your contractor/builder to remove a piece to see if there is a “Series 400” or “Series 500” stamped on the back. Look at the back side of the panel for the notation AHA05 – “05” was the American Hardboard Association’s (AHA’s) identifier for Forestex.
