How do I determine my student status (either Nonmatriculated (NM) or Graduate Nonmatriculated (GNM)) ?
You are Nonmatriculated (NM) status if: • You wish to take a UW credit course • You have not been admitted to a UW degree program • You do not plan to apply the credits earned to a specific graduate degree program in the future If this describes you, then you should register as a Nonmatriculated (NM) student. You do not need to apply for this status; to register as a Nonmatriculated (NM) student, simply go to the Register page and follow the instructions. You are Graduated Nonmatriculated (NM) status if: • You wish to take a UW credit course • You have not been admitted to a UW degree program • You wish to apply credits earned to a specific graduate degree If this describes you, then you will need to first apply for Graduate Nonmatriculated (GNM) status before registering for your class.
