How do I designate NYUs Committee Letter of Recommendation on my AMCAS/AADSAS/AACOMAS application?
In the AMCAS instructions, there are three ‘options’ of “type” of letter of recommendation being sent—committee letter, letter packet, and individual letter. All students should indicate “committee letter” because it meets the AMCAS definition of this; i.e. “authored by prehealth committee which may or may not include additional letters written in support” (as quoted on pages 77 of the AMCAS instructions.) Please indicate Assistant Director James Mazza as the signatory for the committee letter. You should not list each individual letter writer. Students in NYU’s Prehealth Post-Bac Program should indicate Associate Director Stacey Satchell as the signatory for the committee letter.
