How do I delete maps from my ROYAL® AmeriGo without using the PC?
To delete a map from your ROYAL® AmeriGo, you need to know if it is on the internal memory of the AmeriGo, or if it is on the Storage Card. If it is on the internal memory, you need to first make sure that the map is not opened in the Ostia program. After that, tap on the Start menu, then tap on “Programs”, and tap on “Windows Explorer”. Here, bring up “My Maps”, select the maps you want to delete. Each map consists of two files. In order to completely remove the desired map, you will need to delete both files. Both files will have the same name, but different extensions. For example, to delete the map of New York you will need to delete the following two files; NY_NEW_YORK_CITY.INX and NY_NEW_YORK_CITY.RMF. On the edit tablet you can select “Delete”, this will delete the selected maps. If the maps are on a Storage Card, you need to first make sure that the map is not opened in the Ostia program. After that, tap on the Start menu, then tap on “Programs”, and tap on “Windows Explorer”.
