How do I delete agents from Xchange?
Due to the structure of the database, agents (and a handful of other components) can’t be deleted from Xchange. The issue stems from the fact that agents are attached to transactions, and deleting an active agent would effectively delete a piece of the transaction. At a point in the future we plan to have a tool that will allow us to delete select Inactive, unattached agents from your company’s Agent listing. We can’t yet delete agents for you, but we ask that you mark them Inactive from the ‘Search > Agents’ screen if they are duplicates or not going to be used. Once inactive, they won’t show up as an option when you’re on the Transaction page and trying to assign agents. It would be wise to mark your duplicate or unused agents Inactive before they (accidentally or otherwise) get assigned to a transaction. This will make all future attempts at purging agents much easier, because it’ll exclude the additional step of reassigning transactions to other agents.
