How do I defer a final exam? What are the acceptable reasons for deferring a final exam?
Travel arrangements, vacation plans, employment situations, misreading the final exam timetable, and having three exams in a twenty four hour period are not considered reasonable grounds for deferring a final exam. If your exam schedule shows three final exams on the same calendar day (between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on one day) you are eligible to defer one exam of your choice to the deferral period. If you are applying to defer an exam in a course from the Faculty of Arts or the Faculty of Science, you should take your Application For Deferred Final Examination and supporting written document(s) to Enrolment Services, MLB 117. If you are applying to defer an exam in a course from any other Faculty, you should take your form(s) to the Associate Dean’s office of the Faculty that offers the course.
