How do I defeat Tonberry in the Coliseum?
Tonberry’s greatest threat is the Traveler attack, which deals unblockable constant damage based on the number of steps you have taken in the game. It will use it as a counter after every attack, including after they are killed. Your best bet is to raise your HP with Muscle Belt, Red Cap, or Green Beret. To deal damage, use Setzer with the Fixed Dice + Master Scroll or Locke with the Valiant Knife + Master Scroll. Just hope that they can kill Tonberry in one hit and survive the last Traveler. If you cannot survive Traveler even with a Muscle Belt, then you are in for a long fight. Tonberry will use Break, so make sure you equip a Relic that protects against the Petrify status, such as a Ribbon. Tonberry also has some weak physical attacks, so put your character in the back row and equip Miracle Shoes or a Cure Ring for the Regen status. Now for the fun part.
