How do I create an activity where students can identify the appropriate states for a list of cities?

Simply type in a state, then type in the corresponding city and continue alternating until you are through with your list. Then select “Matching (word/def)” as your activity. (Make sure you do NOT select “Matching (2 columns)” unless you want the states and cities mixed together in each column.) This will generate a 2-column list of states on one side and cities on the other. Students can then identify which city goes with which state by drawing a line connecting the two.
