How do I create a Table of Contents with Microsoft 2003?

0

The Table of Contents freature is dependant upon the styles of the headers. If you change the style of the header, then update the table of contents, the header position will change according to the style of header being used. The Table of Contents will be inserted where the cursor is located. Main headings are Heading 1, Sub headings are Heading 2 3 etc. depending upon their importance. To promote or demote a heading click anywhere in the heading and choose the Heading style that suits the situation. The Table of Contents will not update until you click on Update Table – whole table then OK.
