How do I create a numbered class account using newclass?
USING NEWCLASS (UMUC’s numbered class account creation procedure) Class computer accounts are created on UMUC’s UNIX system, Nova. Class accounts only last for the current semester and are erased within a few days after the last day of classes to make space for the next semester classes. Students are responsible for making copies of any information that they wish to save prior to that date. The newclass procedure allows students who require numbered class computer accounts to create them online (instructors will inform students if accounts are required). You MUST be sure that you know your MyUMUC username and password BEFORE you attempt to use this procedure.
