How do I create a new MyTrees Online file?
A. To create a new MyTrees Online file click the MyTrees tab at the top of the page and select “View Your Tree” from the list. This will take you to a screen titled “MyTrees Online – Select Tree”. This is where you create your file. Enter a name for your file in the “Enter title of new family tree:” box, and then click the SUBMIT SELECTION button. (This name is for your benefit and you and your family are the only ones that will see it, so you can name it whatever you would like. Most people choose to use a surname.) You will then be taken to the New Family Line screen. In the New Family Line screen enter your name and your spouse’s name in the FATHER and MOTHER fields in the box that appears (LAST name, then first). This will be the family that will begin your pedigree chart. You can begin with any family you like although it is easier to add information beginning with the present and going backward in time.
