(Back to top) Use the following steps to create the configuration report: In Windows XP, click the “Start” button. Then click “Run…” Type “dxdiag” in the box provided and then click “Ok”. The “DirectX Diagnostic Tool” window will open and a green progress bar will start to fill. Wait for the progress bar to fill completely and then click “Save All Information”. In the “Save As” window, type an appropriate file name and choose where you would like to save the report. (The desktop is a good default.) After saving the report click the “Exit” button in the “DirectX Diagnostic Tool”. You are now able to include your “DxDiag.txt” report as an attachment in support correspondence.
