How do I copy my Windows 7 operating system partition onto a new hard drive?

Hi. I just cloned all my contents from the old hard drive to the new one but there is a partition copy option also on the disc. What i did was. Down load “Disc copy” (Free) and burn to disc http://www.easeus.com/disk-copy/ Plug up new drive in usb caddy and connect. Allow computer to boot normaly one time this will install required drivers etc for new drive. Restart computer and push F2 at start up , change boot order to CD drive first in bios. Boot from disc and copy/ clone contents with copy application on this disc. Shut down computer… Replace hard drive in computer with new one. New drive will boot and appear just as the old one . The new drive appeared the same as the old one in every respect including its size , so just need to allocate the new extra space to C and D partitions , i took the easy option and used another free tool “partition master” ( find this on the same site as the Disc copy or just use disc managme
