Try this recipe – Ingredients * 3 tablespoons plain flour * sea salt and freshly ground black pepper * 675g braising steak * 3 tablespoons oil * 3 onions, chopped * 4 carrots, peeled and sliced * 1 tablespoon tomato puree * 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce * 2 bay leaves * 1 pint beef stock * Season the flour with salt and pepper and then toss the beef in the seasoned flour to coat. * Heat half the oil in a frying pan and fry the beef on a medium to high heat to brown the outside. Transfer the beef to a lidded casserole dish. * Add the rest of the oil to the frying pan and gently fry the onion for 5 minutes until cooked. Add the carrots, tomato puree, Worcestershire sauce and bay leaf. Stir and then add the beef stock.
