There are certain words and phrases that employer search engines look for when they troll resumes online. For example, I’m a recruiter so the keywords for the position I might be looking for are “interviewing, hiring, sourcing, negotiation, direct sourcing, cold-calling, closing” and so on. You only need to figure out the keywords for the job you are looking for, then add them in a “keywords” section at the end of the resume. As an example, mine would look like this: “Keywords – interviewing, hiring, sourcing, negotiation, direct sourcing, cold-calling, closing” Now some people think that is too direct, and they advise finding out what the keywords are and simply sprinkling them in the resume so you make sure your resume contains the keywords.
