How do I convert my screenplay from Microsoft Word (.doc) format to Plain Text (.txt) or Rich Text Format (.rtf)?

Open your screenplay in Microsoft Word. Select “Save As…” from the “File” menu. At the bottom of the Save As dialog box, select “Plain Text” or “Rich Text Format” from the “Save as type” select list. Click the Save button to save the file in the new format.
