How do I convert Key Stage 2 Reading and Writing to English?
To convert the Key Stage 2 Reading and Writing scores or points into a Key Stage 2 English score or points follow the QDCA guidance as seen here: http://www.qcda.gov.uk/assessment/3880.aspx This requires using the Reading and the Writing points scores, and adding these together to get the English points, which can then be converted to a level. The QCDA guidance (link above) shows the 2010 threshold levels. A worked example: Reading 25 points (level 4) plus Writing 32 points (level 4) equals English 57 points, which is level 4.
